Im feeling some type of way we posting comics again today.

For the milestone they did a handful of very interesting short stories set in Gotham.

In a style similar to the art in Amazing Fantasy (1962) #15 (the first appearance of Spider-man), a young Peter Parker sticks to a wall using his spider powers for the first time to dodge a car that almost hits him, except now Cosmic Ghost Rider is seen behind the wheel. Narration by Frank: Oh yeah, me and Spidey go way back. I've been there since the beginning. Cosmic Ghost Rider, yelling out the window of the vehicle he almost ran down peter in: Get out of the way, you #&@%$ idiot kid! A panel from Amazing Fantasy (1962) #15 for comparison. Peter dangles from a wall while the figures in the car mock him for crossing the road absent-mindedly. Narration: Wrapped up in his thoughts, Peter doesn't hear the auto which narrowly misses him, until the last instant! And then, unnoticed by the riders, he unthinkingly leaps to safety-- but what a leap it is! Driver in the passing car: That was one egg head who won't daydream anymore when he crosses a street! Passenger: You can say that again!

Robin and Batman are seated in the Batmobile except Robin is in the drivers seat with a Batman, who had very recently taken a shotgun to the back of his armored cowl, slumped over in pain in the passenger seat. It is not apparent in this page but for context Tim also currently has a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Robin: How uh... How many gears does this thing have, anyway? Batman: I... It... Thirteen. Cut to a shot of the gear shift with 13 unlabelled gears. Robin puts a palm on his forehead in disbelief. Robin: Of course. Robin: WHAT THE HELL DO YOU NEED THRITEEN GEARS FOR?! Batman, wincing in recovery: Don't yell. Batman, raising his fingers to count them off: S'got the nine standard. Theee quantum gears for use during spaciotemporal crisis events. Then there's the secret gear. Thirteen. Robin: "Secret gear." What does that even mean?! Batman: It means I have the coolest car in the world. Now drive it.

I'm an orphan raised by Carney's fighting with a stick and a string from the Paleolithic era. So when I say this looks "bad"? I promise you it feels worse. During this narration Hawkeye can be seen failign to save himself from dropping from a building, instead landing flat on his on on top of a car. The scene cuts so Clint on a hospital bed in a neckbrace, wrapped in bandages and cased in a cast from the waist down. Doctor: "You got yourself pretty banged up there, Mr. Barton..." "... shattered pelvis..." "...three broken ribs..." "...sprained you neck, cracked your fibia..." "...and your spleen nearly ruptured." Clint: Pssh. Thought you said I was hurt, Doc. Waiting until they move to fire, Batman jumps in front of the shotgun weilding officer, blocking the shot with his cape to cover Robin who disarms the other officer by dismantling his pistol by hand. Batman takes down the other officer with a palm blow to the solar plexis, knocking him off his feet and misfiring his weapon in a random direction.
