...but the bosses were the same creepy robot called Doc Robot and he would take on the abilities of the Robots Masters from Mega Man 2. It created a surreal feeling of terror in me as a child - like experiencing something inherently wrong. It was like playing a nightmare version of the game.

The first time I was frightened playing a video game was when I first played Mega Man 3 & beat all the robot masters. Suddenly four of the levels opened up with a menacing portrait draped in shadow. You would have to replay the levels, but they were broken and strange. Each level had two bosses...

I am playing Snake Eater again for the first time. For all the hate I gave Konami over the years in the last few years they have been changing my opinion. Silent Hill 2 remake gave me so much nostalgia and the feeling of playing a game again for the first time & now again as I am playing MGS3 again!
