This is the first christmas I've not been able to buy Borden's None Such Condensed Mincemeat! It started getting hard to find years ago, so I stocked up. Last box used last year. SAD! I'm trying homemade. We'll see. My fave pie.

"A world without tomatoes is like a string quartet w/o violins" -Laurie Colwin. A new tomato season kicking in for continued harvest thru Jan in Calif. Two best tomatoes ever: Veranda Red (a cherry) and Garden Gem (~2-oz). Both developed by U Fla Klee Lab. Absolutely wonderful. Easy to grow in pots.

The mockup is used to market "Cursed Ale." Very trumpian, to profit from something evil, and the mockup looks just like trump!

Bewick's Wren eating suet pellet crumbs. The parents taught the fledglings to eat what I put out, now it's just the babies on their own. They're fearless. I have to keep the door closed or they come into the house. If I don't put suet out, they buzz and peep and look through the window for me #birds
