It was nice to leave all the craziness behind for a bit as my boys and I left civilization to hunt aurora. We could see the different colored lights dancing with our eyes. The camera filled in the details. Kansas, USA.

Now I know why MAGA wanted to defund NOAA! This probably excites many of them in ways they don't want to admit.
(As a side note: it's cold out there!)

I captured this winter sunrise from my back deck a couple of years ago. It looked like the sky was on fire. Kansas skies are generally amazing, but this was top notch.
