Agreed but I also couldn't stand Kess so the two of them can both get spaced.

std_instead_of_core
std_instead_of_alloc
alloc_instead_of_core

I do wish Rust would make these default, and even further make `no_std` the default too, at least for lib crates.

Ah yes, I've always wanted to go to a shop where employees other run away when they see me enter an aisle, or give me the Get Out smile

What is it if you don't mind me asking? Looks lovely!

Which is why we need zero-fee and easily accessible public options for the ways people actually pay for things now. Surcharges from businesses just to cover the exorbitant bank fees is antithetical to the purpose of GST inclusive pricing.

Easily another decade. Spite is like embalming fluid.

Arguably the Windows version will have better longevity than a native Linux version, since it's like you're publishing ROMs for a retro console. As long as the Proton version is a good representation, I don't think it's worth the trouble.

I know we mock the Ubisoft UI for turning games into checklists, but a more hand-held experience would've made the game much more enjoyable as I started losing interest. I finished Hollowknight immediately before Silksong and didn't have the same feeling of dread even remotely

I gave up trying to get 100% because the sheer scale of the map and inability to track _what_ you're missing makes even following a guide a massive chore. I got 95%, and honestly felt relieved to stop playing. It's such a beautiful world with great mechanics, but the levels are just so cruel

It's really frustrating. I've finished it (2/? Endings) after 65 hours, and the game has this pretty awful difficulty curve where it's way too hard in the start, levels out a little in early Act 2, gets much harder towards Act 3, and then becomes way too easy at the end once you have most stuff.

You know, you could combine this with the Muppet Minifigures to act out your Muppets: TNG film...

Oh I completely agree, I game exclusively on SteamOS right now and haven't had an issue at all.

Oh and also mutability changes like this are also very likely UB. A `mut` reference doesn't just mean it's mutable, it means it's exclusive; no other references to that value must exist anywhere

*Usually* in Rust type changes are done through some encapsulation operations. It's extremely rare to use the `as` operator at all. It's also very rare to work with pointers directly, instead you work with references. Finally, unsafe code is a code smell.

This is all of those things

I wonder how many more people would've found employment if they were just given $1.2b in unconditional support instead. Mutual Obligations and the reframing of unemployment support as "JobSeeker" are sickening
