How embarrassing, they misspelled “yore”.

Interesting thing I heard a music theory teacher talking about, was that if you judge The Beatles simply on the number of highly memorable melodies they produced across their body of work, they’re on par with many of the great composers of all time (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven etc…).

For my money, nothing beats the Death’s Door death screen 😅

I am in love with the version called “WARWOLF”

Yeah, we're typically pretty *earthquake ready*, but tropical storms... not so much. 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, I think it's a good time, especially if you enjoy the aesthetic & the world. It has its flaws, but a lot of charm too. If it had been a more full-featured/full-mapped Metroidvania (with a few writing edits), I might've fallen desperately in love with it.

I'd give it 3 & 1/2 out of 5 Burritos.

Same, except with old/classic music. 😁 Lately I've been marathoning a specific artist-of-legend's entire discography with friends, googling up the context & events around each record, reading through the lyrics while I listen. Deep immersion style. Highly recommended.

Hahaha, amazing

For me, the storytelling was missing that "Dick Buttner charm" that would've really sold the world & characters. Some of it was fun, some of it was touching, and some of it was a bit heavy on the exposition.

The ending made me lol though. So good. 😂

The way the moveset & traversal evolves takes a page from Guacamelee, but I think it never quite hits that level of tightness. Instead, fighting feels super frantic partially because it's a little *out of control*. Which is still really fun imo, but maybe less able-to-be-mastered.

I finished it tonight. 🎉 I enjoyed the game for sure. Fun combat, with some funny moments. Kind of like Tron if the game world was super leaning into 80s nostalgia.

I feel like the platforming / jumping in general was pretty loosey-goosey. It's kind of a Metroidvania-light, but there's no map. 🧵

Roger Waters said it well:

"I'm in the high-fidelity first-class traveling set
And I think I need a Lear jet"

Super versatile. Amazing for guitar pedalboards too.

I'll see your buttered tortillas, and raise you one buttered plain strawberry pop tart.
