I'm in shorts and a t-shirt. But then, I'm in Sydney. Having said that, a mate of mine wears shorts and t-shirts all year round. He and his wife went to New York one January and I was shocked to see him in a photo all rugged up because it was snowing in Time Square. Wuss 😄

Can we drop the neo crap. They are Nazis. That's it.

Still proud of myself when that was announced. He went on 702 for an interview and I sent a text message calling out his hypocrisy. He was really, really pissed off 😁

What order do the ingredients of sausage, onion and sauce for a democracy sausage go?

Let's face it, it's a club. AUKUS, a post parliamentary superannuation scheme.
I had had enough at the last election. None of the majors will ever get my number 1 vote again.

I was cleaning out my dressing table draws a while back and couldn't find one of my cats. 🤔 RIP Memi. Miss you

Comparing players who played on uncovered pitches to the bowling greens offered up now is just plain stupid. Do a top 50 for before and a top 50 for after pitches were covered.

Because too many Australians refuse to engage their brains and outsource their thinking to Murdoch and the reactionaries.
A no less important question, one of the ladies with the horse hair wigs looks vaguely familiar. Who 🤔?

Has he read his job description. I'll take a wild guess that safety gets a run in there somewhere

This means parties can't stray too far from the centre into loony tunes territory as our Republican/Conservative party found out this year. We also have an independent body to control elections and maintain electorate boundaries based on specific criteria. No one blinks. $20 fine for not voting.
November 12, 2025 at 1:10 AM
We have preferential voting in Australia. What you call ranked choice. But it is combined with compulsory attendance at a polling station. Voting is on a Saturday and you can also vote early, absentee if you're not going to be near your electorate or mail in vote.

How do you explain Hawke and Keating. Given how close to the 1975 hatchet job, if anyone had an excuse for timidity it was those 2. I didn't necessarily agree with some of the decisions and directions taken but they certainly helped to modernise the economy whilst retaining social security.

Albanese looks insipid in comparison to Gough but hey, he's got his seaside palace where he can 1 minute looking back on all his governments "achievements"
November 11, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Iirc, every economic indicator under Fraser, when he finally got the political axing he deserved in 1983, were far worse than than when Gough's government was assassinated by opinion poll in 1975.

Friend of mine posted on FB today.
Hungry jacks drive through. Ordered via ai apparently at the speaker box. Then drove to the window and paid a human. The one that you used to speak to at the box. I really don't think this is what this technology should be being used for but maybe that's just me.

That would have required effort to explain exactly what was wrong and why it needed reform. That Labor party no longer exists and is why for the first time since I started voting in the 70s, I didn't put a 1 next to a Labor HOR candidate.

Between Robodebt and the obscene overpayments without clawback for business during the pandemic, there was never going to be a better time to nuke the entire inhumane social security industry and introduce a system fit for purpose. 3.5 years later nada, zip.

I'm amazed at how the crowds rarely call them cowards. Imagine being called a coward day in and day especially for covering their faces.

It's an utterly disgusting and dehumanising system set up by 💩 s with a born with a silver spoon in their nose.

I'm perfectly happy with the hours I'm getting. You do realise I've got 5 kids at school? More splutter and bs. Hung up on them and never heard from them again. Bastards.
October 25, 2025 at 5:50 AM
You have an appointment with us in half an hour. That's nice, why didn't you tell me earlier. Splutter, splutter. Appointment is at Parramatta for some unknown reason. The only way I'll make that is via a rocket ship. BTW I'm working more hours than I'm required. Oh we want to get you more hours.
October 25, 2025 at 5:50 AM
More memories: I found a part time job at Bondi Junction. I lived in the western suburbs. 5 hours a day 5 days a week. Had to start early but was home for the kids after school. My wife had died. Anyway, had just finished my shift and was leaving when I got a phone call.

Third time went with the Salvos whom I'm not a fan of. Same beaurocratic bs but the lady at least showed some empathy.

Found a really crappy job just to get away which I presume is the point.
3 times I did this, rinse and repeat each time although I eventually found a goodish job. The hilarious part, I asked for a different provider the second time. While doing the clipboard claptrap I heard a voice. 😱 Guess who?
