I don’t do a ton of drawing based on comics these days, but the #Pouchtober list is ALWAYS a guaranteed blast to take a crack at! I’m behind obviously(you know, because LIFE), but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do an Allen the Alien and a Crossbones.
A large heavily muscled figure with tiny lil combat boots in all warm gray and black paramilitary gear with a skull like mask and a ballistic vest with spray painted crossed bones on it. The entire outfit is festooned with pouches of various sizes and types. The figure is also carrying a large unrealistic pistol and a smoking fantastically inaccurate shotgun. A smiling orange one-eyed heavily muscled alien figure in a white gray and red uniform throwing a Shaka and floating in a purple space in front of a swirling spiral morass.

New ripper for the fine folks in Teenage Bottlerocket, for their upcoming Canadian tour! This ones got it all: Timbits references, classic monsters as punks, a zombie doing a melon grab...you get it.
An eerily green cartoon illustration of a zombie skater, doing a melon grab off a toppled grave in the foreground. Four of the six Drawtober images I put together this year!

Based on some of my favorite punk records / logos, but also: monsters. Just because.
A reinterpretation of a classic Black Flag record cover, this black and tan image features a crouching werewolf boy in the corner of a desicrated room, with a bucket full of some dark liquid, and a severed arm sitting several feet away. This image is a reinterpretation of the Circle Jerks classic 'Skanking Guy' logo. Atop a bright yellow background, a cartoony, detailed witch with mushroom covered hat, chicken legs, and torn clothing is skanking, with her various swamp accoutrements waving behind her. A reimagining of the cover of the Dead Boys record 'Young, Loud, and Snotty', this cartoony interpretation features a foursome of rotting zombies leaning against a green brick wall in a filthy alley. A reimagining of Rancid's 'Let's Go' album cover, this image features a cartoonish ghost floating atop a bright red, distressed background, with a banner below it saying 'Let's Ghost'. From this last weekend: here's the first in a set of 3 interconnected posters done for NOFX's final shows, inspired by ye olde Where's Waldo.

My hands were tired by the end of these.
