We had a fabulous day, thank you for leading us.
A joyful finish to a day walking & praying the new St Aelred’s pilgrimage route @dioceseofyork.bsky.social as we gathered for a service in the nave of Rievaulx Abbey to worship together and reflect on what it means to say yes to God, assured that God has already said yes to us in Jesus Christ 🙏

We will be singing it in the Methodist church in Helmsley.
I hope that many of you will be able to sing "Lo, he comes with clouds descending" on Advent 1. The words (Charles Wesley, no less) take us from thunderstruck awe to prostrate fear to utmost praise, glory, and rapture.
It's best with the Helmsley tune.

Delivering a bit of Christmas cheer as the light fades. Cards from church with a star enclosed inviting residents to decorate it and bring it to church to hang on our tree at the Christmas Tree Festival. Follow the Star, calm and bright. #CofEPeeps ✝️

On a cold day in a tough week to rest in the warmth of midday office in community is a great blessing. The sun through the window helped too.

It's the first anniversary of the start of this journey of ministry with the Anglicans and Methodists of Helmsley and Upper Ryedale. A bench 1/2 a mile up the road from the vicarage gives a wider perspective on the town. The sky is currently not so blue so I ventured over here to change the view.
