I agree with you that this is the best one of the entire series, challenged by Corporal Punishment in Series 4. In that one, especially the scene in the court is firing on all cylinders.

My condolences. It seems like you said goodbye to him in the best possible way.
I had to do the same thing in January with Scratch, she was 14 years old and very ill. Tried as long as possible to keep her with me but at some point, you have to make a hard decision. I lost my absolute soulmate there.
