It is entitlement. You feel entitled to my vote. You want all leftists to commit to voting for your guy, when even you don't know who it is or their platform, and if leftists don't vote your way, you are going to complain and blame and retaliate against them
February 18, 2026 at 1:29 AM
I hope you can see the optics of it though, when you don't hold the Nazi voters accountable to their actions, while demonizing leftists.

You aren't going to bring people to your side if you aren't willing to fight those who are actively causing you harm
February 18, 2026 at 1:27 AM
But changing minds is hard, and attacking others for not complying with your wants is easy, so naturally posts like this are going to come up. You are not entitled to the votes of another person. If you want left votes, advocate for candidates that leftist want to vote for.
February 17, 2026 at 9:52 PM
... Posts like this are aimed at 3rd party voters, when the animosity should be directed elsewhere. There are people actively voting for the "evil red" side, that you are giving a free pass to. You aren't going after them. This is often, in my experience, due to an entitlement to leftist votes.
February 17, 2026 at 9:52 PM
There's a small mis-step here.

Your statement assumes a morale side effect to voting blue. Not only does this paint an otherwise reasonable statement in tribal undertones, but it ignores the subjective nature of morality. What you and I see as good may differ.

The other issue is that...
February 17, 2026 at 9:52 PM
I've been called a Nazi for not already being ready to back the Dem candidate, 2 years before the primaries. For having voting concerns.
February 17, 2026 at 9:01 PM
Then they get offended when I point out that their position is fairly fascist.
February 17, 2026 at 8:30 PM
Entitlement is the heart of it.

They see MAGA as a lost cause, just animals adhering to their nature. And they can't be blamed for it either, so they have to look to someone else to blame. I have had people tell me that I don't get to vote for who I want, that it's their candidate or nothing.
February 17, 2026 at 8:30 PM
I nearly didn't vote. I'm trans, and my ID still has an M on it, and I'm in a red state. Every situation that requires my ID is an anxiety attack waiting to happen, because I am not safe.

If not for being in a group, I would not have gone in 24, I could not justify the risk.
February 17, 2026 at 7:15 PM
I live in a red state. I am trans. My state needed me to show ID, I was afraid to do so, because my ID still has an M on sex. I did not feel safe. I voted, but only because I wasn't alone at the time.
February 17, 2026 at 7:12 PM
If leftists are necessary for your party to win, then you'll need to put forward candidates that will get leftist votes.

That's how democracy works,
February 17, 2026 at 5:52 PM
The issues are such:

Going after MAGA for actually voting for the fascism is difficult.

They feel entitled to leftist votes

Complaining is easier than action

They are closer politically to MAGA than they are the left.
February 17, 2026 at 5:45 PM
So..."vote, but vote the way I tell you to vote"? I just want to understand. It feels like your hatred is mostly towards Trump voters, and it seems like that's a better use of your resources, over attacking votes you weren't entitled to, or lack thereof.
February 15, 2026 at 3:57 AM
What's your opinion about other people voting 3rd party? Even outside a primary?
February 15, 2026 at 3:37 AM
What about voting 3rd party? Just trying to understand your hierarchy. No need to be defensive friend.
February 15, 2026 at 3:14 AM
Are you holding them as, or more responsible than the people who actively voted for this shit? Asking for a friend.
February 15, 2026 at 3:00 AM
For sure vote, but if you're plan to fix things is one single action in 9 months, you are grossly underselling your duty.

Now is the time to start building and fostering community. Plan for the best, but prepare for the worst. It would be hypocritical to put all your eggs in the vote basket.

Thousands of square miles make large coordinated efforts difficult.

Americans aren't quite in survival mode yet. A lot of us are preparing for the inevitable though.
February 12, 2026 at 9:55 PM
It sucks that it has to happen. I'm trans and that means my entire existence is political for some fkin reason. Would love to just be able to post about my journey without having to defend my right to exist.
February 12, 2026 at 9:39 PM
Will they? That would require those in Congress take an actual action against Trump, and that could mean change, and if there's one thing Dems hate more then fascism, is shaking up the status quo.
February 12, 2026 at 4:57 PM
I'm still registered, though I'm moving partway in the year, so I'll have to remember to register when I get there.

Gonna vote for whoever I feel best represents my needs. If that's the Dem then great.
February 12, 2026 at 2:42 PM
He's going to try. And Republicans are going to let him, and I would suspect most Dems won't do anything about it either.

Better to spend the next 9 months preparing for the worst and establishing local community if you haven't yet.
February 10, 2026 at 10:28 PM
They demonize the left, while conveniently ignoring the huge number of people who actively voted for where we are now.

The reason is they feel entitled to the left vote, the they don't want to put in the effort to challenge the right. I've seen em even defend MAGA votes over left votes.
February 6, 2026 at 11:39 PM
Can't speak for anyone else. But being wrong growing up and making mistakes was responded to by getting the shit beat out of me by parents.

It's hard to untrain a trauma reflex.
