Still overpriced

It is cheaper than buying the 7 amiibo announced in the latest Nintendo Direct.

Much more modular than the Kirby Air Riders amiibo.

At $300 this was a flat "no" from me at launch. I'm tempted at this price, but it's still a lot to spend, and then I have to find a way to display it.

I think at $200 I would jump at it, and at $225 I would break down and buy.

And these aren't even for your player character. The amiibo functionally is to have a separate character that you race against, similar to Smash Bros.

That wasn't very fun, or at least not worth the effort, for most people.

Really these are figures to have on your shelf with some added modularity.

I'll buy these if they hit the bargain bin like the Starlink sets did. $5 to $10 each is about right for gimmicky toys to life figures.

If it's anything like the last one there are multiple hours worth of story cutscenes, which are just video files.

Can anyone who already has a voucher confirm that it works for a pre-order of this game?

I just used my last voucher pair on Pokemon ZA and MP4, so I can't click purchase to check. Neither of those games is on the list on Nintendo's website, so that isn't useful in rolling it out.

Oh you're right: the Yoshi game is Switch 2 only.

I would need to figure out what the other game would be. Possibly something older that I haven't bought yet.

That list is out of date. It doesn't list Pokemon Legends Z-A or Metroid Prime 4, which I know are eligible for vouchers because that's how I preordered them.

The only way to know for preorders is to initiate a purchase when you have a voucher available, and it will ask if you want to use it.

If it is applicable I'll probably get another pair of vouchers for Galaxy 1&2 and use the other one on Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.

If you have a voucher, can you confirm it's applicable to the Mario Galaxy 1&2 combo? I just used my last voucher on MP4, so I can't check. You basically click through to purchase and if you have a voucher it will prompt you to use it before the payment info step.

You're looking at $230 *minimum* of plastic figures.
