Old Sportbike Enthusiast. Yes, both those meanings.
The boy was itching to do some upgrades to his 6RR. Chain and sprockets were on the menu. He went with a -1/+2 configuration because looking for 7th gear is fun I guess. Anyway, it’s all buttoned up now. Just need the snow to melt. :/

That’s how I ended up with this on my ZX7R.

Sitting in the garage with my other buddies that also hate winter.

Work on enough bikes and you’ll realize more manufactures used them than they should have :/

Rolled out of bed early this morning to hit Virginia Beach Bikes and Breakfast. Temp was not too bad and it ended up being quite a nice turn out. The 1986 VF1000R was awesome to see.

Not just a meme but a parenting goal I managed to pull off. ;)

Kawasaki ZX7R - After an incident it’s being rebuilt for track duty.
Indian FTR1200 - Taking care of everyday hooligan duties.
Ducati PS1000LE - Because owning a collection piece is a thing I guess.

Just a wave to all the other riders out there. :)

My two goofballs.

A few years back when my son expressed interest in riding I ‘obtained’ a 2003 #Suzuki #SV650. Like a lot of SV’s that age it needed a lot of love. It was an insightful project with my biggest takeaway being that a new cable clutch line needs to be lubricated before being installed. O.o

My son wanted to ‘get to know’ his #Kawasaki #ZX6RR a little better so we stripped it down, checked the air filter, cleaned it up and installed new brake lines (F+R). Still no work done to my #ZX7R lol

Going through some old pics remembering that time I rode my #Ducati 1199 all the way to New Zealand. ;)

Not going to lie… Fork servicing sucks. Notice I upgraded my cardboard floor protection to a rug my son found on the side of the road.

My daily go-go machine. A 2023 #Indian #FTR1200 Carbon R. A pinch of insanity mixed with a dash of lunacy mixed in with a ton of hooliganism. This one makes me feel like a kid again. Not the lightest nor the most powerful but its character makes for an interesting machine.

This was 21 years ago… I guess a bunch of us were desperate to go out riding that day. I can push a button on my phone and my car warms up now. I’m not that guy anymore. lol

I need time to slow down a bit. It was my father that sparked my interest in 2 wheels when I was a kid. I had my son on 2 wheels when he was 5, a passenger at 7 and now as a young adult we ride together. My biggest fear is that we do a track day and he’s faster than me. ;)

Changing gears here. Not a ride from days gone by this time but the 2003 #Kawasaki #ZX6RR (yes, RR) my son picked up back in October. Not his first bike but the first that is actually his.

Haven’t got to by… Yet. The Bimota SB8R. A combination of Suzuki power (from the TL1000 I use to race) and Italian design/engineering.

Next up in the bikes gone by is my 2013 #Ducati #Panigale 1199. This little beastie was absolutely glorious to ride. Still miss the power… Always looking for more power. ;)

Today’s ride from days gone by is the 2006 #MVAgusta #Brutale 910S. I picked this one up because I couldn’t resist its Italian sexiness. It intrigued me. It seduced me. It made me do so many silly things.

Continuing on with my content of former bikes. Today it’s the 2008 #Kawasaki #Z1000. OMG the giggles this thing provided. The best I can describe it as is ‘silly fun’. The front wheel spent more time in the air than on the ground.
