The Burmese military are planning new elections at the end of 2025. They want to repeat what happened with the 2010 elections. Those elections were also rejected, but the international community went on to drop sanctions and support the regime it had previously described as illegitimate.

Burmese military airstrikes hit Htee Ther Lel school in Dooplaya, 13 July 2025. The British government must sanction Burmese and international companies involved in supplying jet fuel to the Burmese military, and Burmese state-owned banks used by the military to purchase arms and receive revenue.

Welcome news - Airbus has divested from AVIC, a Chinese company arming the Burmese military. AVIC is a Chinese aircraft and arms manufacturer which supplies the Burmese military with the jets they use to bomb schools, hospitals and homes. Read the statement here buff.ly/GrE1LDA

A Buddhist monastery was destroyed by Burmese military airstrikes earlier this month in Karen State, Burma. Airbus, the biggest aerospace company in the UK and Europe, is doing business with a Chinese company arming the Burmese military. Take action here-

Tell the British government to sanction Mytel and step up other sanctions to cut off revenue and arms to the Burmese military. Mytel is one of the main mobile networks in Burma, which the military profits from, and sanctioning the company is long overdue. action.burmacampaign.org.uk/tell-british...
