Both Doig and Walcott spent significant time in Edmonton and Trinidad. Not sure what Switzerland is doing in here. Margaret is Walcott’s ex-wife, and mother of his two daughters.

WRT other complete versions in terza rima, Binyon is also uneven, but worth checking out. Avoid Sayers. Pinsky’s terza rima Inferno is also v worthwhile, but also uneven.

Like most Dante translations, it is uneven. But def worth checking out, esp as it tries to keep the same form.
