Better to look for an ally in China to counter Russia. Russia has shown to be a near term threat to Eastern Europe and Middle East.

The current situation show how the political process has been upended. Sitting congresspeople care more about their jobs than they do about the people or the country. On both sides of the aisle, for different reasons, but the result is the same. GOP quit rather than fight. Dems sitting on their hand

It’s a joke. If every steel import Is tariffed, then the result is higher steel price in USA. Canadian steel is cheap because of the devaluing of C$. USA doesn’t have excess capacity for Aluminum, so after tariff, same result as steel. Winner: Treasury Dept. loser: American consumer

This is the breaking of the covenant of the founders. That unlike a dictatorship/kingdom, America was going to be made of people coming together in a bond of loyalty and trust to do together what neither could do alone. Unity without uniformity. The courts are the last arbiters of that covenant.

This was an incredibly and disastrous extreme solution to the problem. However there has been a creeping far left bias to our Center-liberal way of life. Sometimes an extreme shift is necessary to get back to the Center. Well see

French/English, a country of immigrants, until recently new Canadians left their old political fights behind them in their old countries. It’s what made us Centrists and the best place to live on Earth. Trump may have galvanized us to remember who we are.

It’s amazing that Israel allows Qatar and the Red Cross to be “neutral” interlocutors between themselves and Hamas when they don’t even try to hide that they are Hamas allies.
