Because of my potential audience I had to put a disclaimer to that extent on a video of the Buffalo rally. Figured otherwise I'd have people saying I was backing Hamas just because a couple Palestinian flags appeared.

The basic hypothesis is that there's more to the underlying situation from which the No Kings protests arose than just "orange man bad", that there's several forces at work here, each using the others in pursuit of world conquest, and they all need to be broken down and explained.

Yikes on trikes.

That wasn't a dog whistle. That fnord was a full-on foghorn.

Which is projection, given how repressed the right seem to be (at least in the US).

SSDD. And part of it's because even now, to a lot of people, trans is just seen as "spicy gay".

I suspect this is how she always was deep down.

I'd say "in her heart of hearts" but she don't got no heart.

Yep, heard it in the 80s and 90s.

I used to be paranoid that shopping in the ladies' section (would've been Walmart; this was the late 1990s) would raise the employees' hackles and get me kicked out.

Bipartisanism would require both sides accepting each other's humanity. That's not the case right now.

A lot of people, all of whom are him. He's high on his own supply (although part of that is probably literal brainrot).

Yeah, Tommy Tallarico really showed his ass with that. And then there was the Coleco Chameleon vaporware before that.

The attitude I've seen over in my own circles is equally mixed, as is my own. I mean, Perifractic is kind-of the clown prince of retrocomputing but he clearly has a genuine appreciation for what Commodore was, superior to everyone who passed around the pieces in the last 30 years.

Sounds like Orbán is about to learn the meaning of "Streisand Effect"

Both of those are hotter than hell to me as a lifelong New Yorker, but in 1995 some eejit from the boarding school I lived at thought to take us to a park when it was a mercury-busting 41C.

The big tent may be Democrats' strength, but it's also their weakness.
