The second half of Love from a Stranger is fantastic, found High Noon a bit overrated, Mechanic Resurrection isn’t great and the ‘new’ Robocop film is great. #LastFourWatched

An annoying day on the 9th section of the #Walescoastpath between Porthcawl and Port Talbot this weekend. 22km but a really poorly signposted diversion to an established route meant a near 4 mile detour, major backtracking and far too much time spent alongside busy roads. Not the most pleasant walk.

Weird mix again this week but the banter in Lake Placid is hilarious. Didn’t remember it being funny 20 years ago, but here we are 🤷‍♂️ The Man Who Turned to Stone has an interesting premise too, but is a bit amateurish in delivery. Worth a watch though. #LastFourWatched

Solid films this week. Anton Chigurh is one of the greatest characters of all time and nice to see a Welsh name (Llywelyn) in a film! #LastFourWatched

A strange mix, but not as strange as the cast in The Lost City of Z who decide time after time to get on wooden boats that float with the current, when looking for the source of a river 🤦‍♂️ Maybe as well as a lost city, they found antigravity rivers 🫠 #LastFourWatched

Cracking day on the 7th section of the #Walescoastalpath between Llantwit Major and Ogmore. Generally beautiful weather apart from a brutal squall a mile from the end. Incredible scenery, throughout though definitely the bumpiest stretch, with some steep quad burning climbs. On to Porthcawl next!

A mix of genres and I can’t really feel the love for Dune that seems to be all around (it’s good, very impressive set and costume design, but felt a bit meh), but such is life 🤷‍♂️ #LastFourWatched

Had a lovely one in the garden a few months ago with the beady eyes. Shame the camera focused on the legs and not on the chops of this strange little creature. Maybe Canestrini’s Harvestman, but no expert!

Is there any way of linking across to iNaturalist? Saw a lovely Jersey Tiger on the coast, a few miles west of Barry Island on the coast last Sunday.

Proper Welsh weather today between Barry and Llantwit Major on the 6th section of the #Walescoastalpath, today. Absolutely hoofed it down for two hours then so hot that I’m very sunburnt. Lovely scenery when the sun came out and lots of industrial heritage on show too. Up to Ogmore next!

Very pleasant stroll between Penarth and Ynys y Barri (Barry Island) on Section 5 of #WalesCoastalPath. First bit was beautiful and found a plaque on Marconi’s first wireless transmission. Second half was tarmac into Barri but the front there is lush 😍 Can’t forget the Gavin and Stacey link, either!

Late again but Point Break was really good, Grease has aged very poorly (yuck) and The Oxbow Incident is like a Western, light touch, 12 Angry Men. Definitely worth a watch. #LastFourWatched

Not a great week, but an ok one, I guess. Younger me liked the Simpsons movie a lot more than older me. Lucy is bonkers. E. E. Clive makes the Bulldog Drummond films work. They’d be very different and likely not as fun without him #lastfourwatched

Controversially (maybe) Shrek 2 was my favourite of this week… I don’t get Barbie or Scott Pilgrim, unfortunately, but seemingly do get a sword wielding cat and Pinocchio in a thong. Strange world #lastfourwatched

A super warm 20k largely through Cardiff suburbs on section 4 of the #Walescoastalpath from Llanbedr Gwynllŵg to Penarth. Cardiff Bay is stunning, but that was a tarmacced slog, coupled with getting lost around a landfill site 🤦‍♂️ Hoping the next section is less urbanised (and cooler)!

A strange old week of film. Finally watched all of the Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films though, so that’s good! Don’t watch 12 to the moon (or do if you want to volunteer an hour and a bit of your life away), a proper shocker 🫣

Another 20k of the Wales Coastal Path travelled, from Nash (Cil-y-Coed) to Peterstone Wentlooge ( Llanbedr Gwynllŵg).From wetlands to Industrial areas and back onto the Gwent Levels. If only the transporter bridge had been open for a crossing. Lush day for a walk though. A stroll to Penarth next.

A very mixed bag, from a brilliant film in The Green Mile to one of the longest inadvertently slow motion underwater chases in diving bells possible to commit to tape in War Gods of the deep (City under the sea). Can’t believe the chicken wasn’t credited for its performance either… #lastfourwatched

An interesting mix for me. The Gorbals Story is interesting and had me reading up on the history of the area. Only one more Rathbone Holmes film left to watch, too! #LastFourWatched
