Same dude. This whole sequence had some serious oomph. I also kinda miss frantic Roman, the way he used to throw his whole body into everything was kinda remarkable (though it definitely doesn't fit his current style)

Yeah going in I knew the content wasn't kid-friendly, so it was mostly played after the little one was asleep. I did try the censor at one point and found the black bars actually hilarious, I'm so used to creative censoring that the blunt-ness caught me off guard

Yep, Hades and Dispatch were perfect in that regard. The latter specifically is pretty nice to play one episode at a time, really lends itself to a pseudo-TV format, though it does emphasize the main criticism of the game being the short runtime

I spent a lot of time this year trying to catch up on games to get to the new sequels, specifically Hollow Knight, Death Stranding, and Hades. Wasn't able to beat them before losing track and haven't picked up the sequels yet

(also as I'm sure you're aware having an infant made this very difficult)

You're right on the money though about the setting, FE has traditionally done medieval European settings (and Fates had a bit of medieval Japan) but they've never done Mediterranean/Greco-Roman setting before, so I'm super intrigued

While Engage was only two years ago, and I'm not one that keeps up with FE: Heroes, I guess this may feel like more FE than most are wanting, but with Engage playing like a spin-off and with Heroes being a gacha, this feels like the next full entry in the series for me.

I respectfully disagree that FE is oversaturating, at least as a Fire Emblem stan since the GBA. It's refreshing to see Fire Emblem get top billing on a Direct, and Three Houses came out in 2019 (which feels like forever if accounting for COVID time).

This seems like every relic everyone says NOT to take 🤣 Interested to see how the ranged relic actually works out in practice
