You forgot to add that he’s inventing cabinet positions (DOGE) that have no advice or consent, and that these new departments are killing people (DC and now Philadelphia).

I’m not sure what adopted means. I’m thinking along the lines of Wikipedia x bitcoin, decentralized but community verified. Adoption would need to be viral, so easy for all, and more transparent than most privacy nerds would like. Concept at this point, it really needs competence beyond my own level

It’s a problem. We have lost truth as an ideal. But we have also lost The Press as enforcer of the ideal anyway. The question is, what can replace that? I have been considering a code of ethics for posting + a seal of approval, so that info is known to be vetted. Seems like a good blockchain app

I don’t think that’s the right question. It’s more about how much change can an individual make from inside an established organization versus on their own. Consider Gorbachev vs Navalny. Practical politics requires compromise.

Unfortunately, the track record for “leaving on principle” isn’t good. I’m supportive, but “from The Contrarian” doesn’t have the same impact as “from The Washington Post”. Change from within is probably a better strategy than “Fuck you, I’m done.”
