As an artist one should replace Twitter/X with the name of any nazi forum or dark web CSAM site (since that platform has both of these) and ask themselves once more if they're ok uploading their artwork in a place like that only for their audience.

Like if you tell some people who claim to be fed up at Twitter to leave a site that by design amplifies nazis (and now has lots of generated (C)SAM against girls and women), they'll react back aggressively. This happened to me a lot, and I'm done pretending to be nice about it.

It's valid to criticize and expect better from a platform like BSky, but people here often disregard that big tech has made their platforms deliberately addictive with algorithms and similar stuff no matter what harm it does to people's brain (I mean gambling or even drug usage-level addiction).

Bluesky has issues and the mods suck (like every other US-based site), but you cannot blame them on that. No matter how good they make this app it still won't be enough for a lot of people to stop their addiction and move here (or any other comparatively healthier platform for that matter).

The real problem you're describing is people not going there because they're more comfortable and dopamine-rewarding platforms no matter how hazardous it is the rest of the userbase for them (Nazis and CSAM). I'm Latino and this happens in every country. So yes it definitely is skill issue.
