I will never not adore this aquamanile in the shape of Alexander's girlfriend charming Aristotle into a horsie ride. (Collections of The Met Cloisters, on display in their current Exhibit, Spectrum of Desire: Love, Sex, and Gender in the Middle Ages)

J and I now try to visit The Cloister once each season. The Cuxa Cloister was already enclosed in glass but the Bonnefort was not: we spotted several of these Johnny-Jump-Ups, which I hadn't seen any of in our summer visit.

If you've ever been curious what an accessible version of a see-saw is, here's one. The playground also has a see-saw analog where multiple users can walk, or roll, onto a platform on swings, sit on padded benches, and use their weight to make it bounce up and down on alternating sides.

In the Met Cloisters is this statue of Christ on a Donkey from the 15th century, which was on wheels and used in Palm Sunday processions. When we were last at the Cloisters, a Very Young Person was Quite Upset that they could not climb up on the donkey and get a ride.

I brought balloon flower from my mom's yard last year but the plant died. Apparently it left us seeds though! Balloon flower is one of my most trivial indulgences, doesn't go with my garden theme, not useful, not native, but I love it.
