The political has always been and will always be personal. This unaliving is the result—the goal—of their hate. But they can’t hurt us anymore. We’re free.

It has been an honor to know and love my wife @coribby.bsky.social, other chosen family, and friends. I wouldn’t have lasted near as long without all of you.

We refuse to be homeless or hungry. We refuse a life without healthcare or human rights.

We refuse the second Auschwitz. We die knowing the only tattoos on our body are art we chose, things that gave our lives meaning.

And now there is nothing. Too sick to work and what little care we had access to has been taken. Not that it was enough in the first place.

Money is violence. Profit is violence. The two party system is violence.

We fought for justice. For the culture. For the community. For love. For each other. For ourselves.

We tried to escape… to leave and go where we’d be safe.

We couldn’t.

We never consented to life. We tried anyway. Despite the torture this life has always been. Despite the abuse, assaults, hellish disabilities, and psychiatric/legal imprisonment (respectively). Despite the deliberate creation and maintenance of a system meant to destroy us “useless eaters.”
