World continues to 🔥 so enjoy this sweetheart watermarking my denim jacket mods.

The blue one is done (tulle, trim, beaded). Waiting on some embelishments for the black one.

Some phone photos of the final pieces. Are there parts I want to fix? Always. Does the lion look like it's got a horn? Yes.

But overall, I'm happy with the results.
Pictures of the final wood-burned, gold gilded, colored and painted, then varnished and sealed wood plaques. Four animals (counterclockwise: white pelican, blue-grey wolf, nemean lion, and reddish horse) surrounding a purple and gold quad-sectioned shield. Shield crest depicts a red star in a white rose, a sword through an open green wreath, a spear head behind a small red and white shield with a green and yellow acorn symbol, and a sort-of bireme like the ones in ancient greek pottery.

Went with soft core color pencils and multi-surface acrylic paint for coloring in my wood burning. Each animal required about 4 to 5 different colors, except the horse needed 8.
Only remembered to take pictures of my work-in-progress for the pelican, horse, and wolf. The bottom right is of all 4 animals being completed and about to start painting the crest in the middle.

Since I'm extra, wanted to make separate gifts for the hosts of this gathering. Pulled out the wood burner and gold leaf!

Ngl, had a minor struggle with the gilding fluid and the gold leaf.

Heraldic animals look like drawing from someone's description of an animal 😅 Hopefully my interpretations still have that heraldic feel, but also look more like a wolf [left], a pelican [top], and a horse [right]. The lion is a version of Nemean Lion. 4 families, 4 histories.

Saw my spouse putting together an odd collage of images in power point.

My first question: what is that 🧐

My second question when he said it was a design for a "hat or something": what do I exist here for?? Am I being replaced by power point???

Thus began the journey of creating a crest.

Do sword handles count? More like a mix of swords, staffs, keys, and other icons from a CLAMP tribute box I made.

Still love this design, and have set it aside along with a few others that I want to clean up and turn into other "stuff"

Green sauce recipe cuz it's really good on so many things.
1 bunch of Cilantro (about 3oz), trimming off about 1 inch of the stem then use the rest leaves + stems 1/2 bunch of Parsley (about 1oz), using only leaves 1/2 bunch of Basil (a little less than 1 oz), using only leaves [prefer thai basil, but regular basil is fine] 1 stalk of spring onion/ scallion 5 to 6 cloves of garlic (use more if you want to) 2.5 tbsp of ginger, minced 1/2 green bell pepper 1 tsp dried mint (fresh is a little too strong) 1 tsp coriando 1/2 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp paprika 4 tsp lemon juice Olive oil to blend smooth Mix in half a container of 150g (5.3oz) greek yogurt. I added 1 tsp of salt, but I would say salt to taste.

Hello, fellow wary travelers of this current apocalyptic timeline.

I took quite some time away because even opening my emails every day was overwhelming. Been working on some fun stuff and will share soon!!

In the meantime, some snippets.
Made green sauce (there's probably 20 ingredients and I'm too lazy to list) and decided it would be great on some flat bread. Ultimately turned into pseudo-pizza with some sliced cherry tomatoes and shredded cheese. A scenic view from inside the store of the park that's attached. Nice paved walkways, good tree coverage, and a sizable lake that you can fish or canoe in. Silly fur-babies lying on the grey blanket covering the couch. Tuxedo cat likes to use the Shiba Inu's hindquarters as a pillow despite there being ample actual pillows and blankets on the couch. A massive pomegranate from a local supermarket that was almost the size of my face. My hand disappears under it in the picture. Tasted fresh, tart, and sweet too.

Experiment successful! Had to print on two pieces of waterslide decal, then cut and combine due to the size.

Now waiting for it to dry completely before adding the last layer of resin.
Layering the transparent decal over the previously resined tray. The design blends into the paper bag's printed design of lineart style clouds, sun, and moon along with reflective silver characters for the [Ghibli's Grand Warehouse Shop].

Made some spring florals out of felt just because. Can you tell I gave up on complicated flowers after the sunflower and ranunculus? Filled out with some cosmos, poppy, primrose, crocus, and sakura.

Hair spray + hair curlers are game changers for petal shaping!
