MD11 is about one of my favourite fan bases in Germany: FC Kölle.

From historical goats to, arguably, overly dramatic fans - FC Köln supporters is a perfect representation of Cologne as a city: warm, open, and just the right amount of crazy.

28 May 2023.

Heidenheim scores 2 goals in stoppage time against Jahn Regensburg and secures its Bundesliga promotion.

The greatest Cinderella story of my lifetime.

RB Leipzig has long sparked controversy and protests.

In 2016, Köln fans delayed a Bundesliga match by blocking the RB team bus outside the stadium.

But Dynamo Dresden — a fellow eastern club — takes the cake by throwing a dead pig’s head onto the pitch.

A publicised moment that changed football

In 1998, newcomer Ralf Rangnick appeared on Sportstudio, marking the first time German TV brought in-depth tactics to a mainstream audience

His ideas — constant pressure and zonal marking — have since gone global

Can Uzun is the biggest talent in German football at the moment.

Do you agree or disagree?

My prediction for the future: he will leave for an elite team for 100+ million euros.

140,000 hours.

That’s the unpaid time Union Berlin fans put into modernising their beloved Alten Försterei.

Just listened back to the MD3 episode and I’m dumbfounded at how many times I said the name “Felix Magath” 😂

So, naturally… let me present two photos:

Felix Magath, the playmaking connoisseur.

Felix Magath, the ruthless authoritarian manager.

Insane football game.

Insane goal from Maximillian Arnold.

Simon is off to a good start!

This is a rage-bait post…

But surely the #EPL is the most defensive/boring league in the top 5 European leagues?

Not many goals. Defence first. Night and day compared to the #Bundesliga.

The new Multiview on Sky seems very stupid? What was wrong with the good old Konferenz?!

Multiview seems to just show one game and then the 4 remaining games in super small windows??

Hard to predict how this will end up

Hjulmand showed with the Danish team that he can produce good football - but more crucially: he seems like a less complicated dude than ten Hag

Anything other than a CL place for a squad that spent almost €200m this summer is a failure…

A year ago Luca Scienza played in the German 3rd division. Yesterday he became Heidenheims biggest transfer sale of all time (€9m)

Great story and financially good for Heidenheim

But imagining a reality where Heidenheim stays up this year is becoming increasingly difficult…

Less than 1.5 years ago - even a regular Bundesliga watcher didn’t know who Nick Woltemade was.

Getting a desperate Saudi-backed club to pay €85m for him is fantastic business.

Rating (from Stuttgart’s viewpoint): 11/10

Gladbach are turning 125 years old.

90 min to kick off but it’s getting full outside the Borussia Park - where there’s a big outdoor bar showing Mainz - Köln (Gladbachs rivals)

Loads of away and home fans. For the latter, it’s a new season - maybe the start of something fun. For the former, it’s a return from a 7 year period in hell

🧵 Big matchday for the Bundesliga Rundown!

We’re on route to Mönchengladbach and the first live game of the season!

Their opponent is of course, newly promoted, HSV.

A 90 minute drive is ahead. Got my bets on. Have a road beer. And a Ritter Sport chocolate bar.
