a shitty intro cause a fic sounded good just to end up hating the fic as a whole lol. my input is that i give myself two pages on my kindle and if there are red flags for bad fic, i just don’t continue reading it

i’m finding the discussion so bizarre because most of the people who are pro “skip 3 paragraphs” are like “people suck at writing intros and the fics typically get better” and i find that if the intro sucks *the whole fic ends up sucking*. i don’t wanna count how many times i’ve powered thru-
