I was ridiculously adept at finessing when to press the record button to avoid including DJ chatter while keeping as much song as possible. This skill set has been disappointingly nonessential in my subsequent life stages.

He's a terrific little dude, I just wish he'd grow out of eating cords and wires. At almost 18 months old now, I'm not holding my breath for that.

I informed him that as he was so much younger than our other cats and we're maybe 5 years out from empty nesting, he'd better learn to travel. He does well in a backpack and has a harness, and we go hiking and to coffee shops together.

We already had four cats and were *not* looking for another, but the Kitten Distribution System™ gets what the Kitten Distribution System™ wants.

Found me 4th of July '23, 6 weeks old, flea-covered, anemic, skinny, partially blind by dual injuries, in a storm drain I glanced into on a walk. Half dozen tries to find an open emergency vet etc, several weeks plus ::mblmbl:: $$ of opthalmic surgery later, we finally admitted he was staying.

Was it my fabulous taste in movies or my distinctive autistic-meets-theatre-kid vocab and syntax? 😂

Oh my stars I somehow didn't know until right now that Maverick was written by William Goldman. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The Mummy (1999) and The Princess Bride are my two mainstays. Also I'm grateful I own Maverick (1994) in hard copy so I can watch it without tipping its headliner.
