Thinking about this one scene where Peter is eating pie and watching the sunset. No set up to a joke. Just a nice image of a father enjoying life.

Anyone who knows me knows my favorite book that I’ve read this year was Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree. Viv is literally me :)

The second best book I read this year was Little Women. I really identified with Jo and this story will always remind me of my own family.

The third best book I read this year was A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. This really says a lot about society.

The fourth best book I read this year was The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. This book has been copied hundreds of times and none of them are as raw and effective as this. The cover is kinda ass though.

The fifth best book I read this year was Ring by Koji Suzuki. I read this book in two days and I couldn’t put it down. The sequels were really really strange but this one was some good shit.

The sixth best book I read thus year was Weyward by Emilia Hart. This was just a great time and was one of the few books where I couldn’t guess the ending. Witches are real and I am one of them

The 7th best book I read this year was Carrie by Stephen king. I hate Stephen king but this book and misery are his best works.

The eighth best book I read this year was The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler. This book was one of the first science fiction books I read, ever. I never cared for the genre but this was a very compelling story with great characters. I’m never eating calamari again.

My ninth favorite book I read this year was I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy. I know I’m late to the trends with this one, but good Christ was this harrowing to read. I hope this signifies a turning point for the future of labor in the US.

The tenth best book I read this year was Hula by Jasmine Iolani Hakes. The story this book tells may be familiar to many people, but that is more a sign of how much of a grasp colonialism and white supremacy has on the globe.

My eleventh favorite book I read this year was My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix. This should be your first and last Hendrix book. I don’t like just about anything he else he has written but this was the book that proved to me that he can write decently sometimes.

At number 12 we have Bram Stoker’s Dracula. This was my first time experiencing this story and I read it to prepare for Nosferatu. I’m glad I did. It was really gothic and intense. There are flaws, mostly with the pacing, but the highs significantly outweigh the lows.
