A major new YouGov poll of 2,600+ people shows:

78% favour solar
63% support onshore wind
70% back offshore wind

And 70% would support a solar farm near their own home.

That’s a landslide.

Better don’t put the CO2 in the air in the first place. Use electric transportation and heat pumps. And power these things with renewables (it’s cheaper than fossils anyway)

Chancellor be brave and lock fuel prices to renewable electricity.
Tax multimillionaire’s, aviation fuel, diesel, petrol, biofuels and wood burners as they all increase CO2

Agree but levies do distort the real price of going green and are exploited by dodgy contractors some of whom pester me most days to get their cut of the levies when all I need to do is lay a few rolls of loft insulation.
Electric car and plug subsidies should support public and active transport.
