This is the impact when a sledge hammer is taken to a problem requiring a scalpel and a plan.
A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

I’ve had 3/4 a bottle of cologne for probably 30 years. I’ve had a 12yr old for 8 months and now that bottle is almost gone.

For anyone curious, it’s Fahrenheit 451 and it’s musky. I bought it for the literary reference.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

This quote from Richard Grenell is illustrative of how MAGA see the world and how different it is from MLK’s dream.

"The American people need to know that Lin-Manuel is intolerant of people who don’t agree with him politically.”

Just watched the entire 49 minutes of yesterday’s Oval Office meeting with my 17yr old daughter. It was a great opportunity for her to make her own judgements, and I got to give her a brief history of Imperial Russia, the Vietnam war, and the history of Afghanistan since 1960

What does it cost to re-hire someone you fire?

I can’t imagine they’d come back happily at the same salary they left at. Surely there’d be some negotiation there if the fired person realizes they have some leverage.
