It’s a meme but it’s solid life advice. Huge quality of life improvement.

Spent a good chunk of my morning doing a deep dive into the burgeoning field of exoplanet exploration and different techniques used to observe them.

Gonna be awesome to one day have cheap New Glenn and Starship launches to put many more telescopes into space.

Wild how people that know nothing about macroeconomics will prognosticate all day about how if only government followed their genius economic policy, all problems would be fixed.

Dunning-Kruger effect amirite?

RIP David Lynch, you strange, disturbing, magnificent weirdo.

I firmly believe that to form a well-informed opinion about a public figure, you need to listen to a podcast interview with them that lasts at least an hour.

Wild that the Bauhaus school existed for 14 years before being shut down by Nazis, but they inform so much of modern architecture and design.

Another interesting thing about this 20 year old display; it consumes so much power that it acts as a space heater in the winter.

Some people really let political division consume their brain. Sad to see. At the end of the day, there's more to life than that. Social media is not real life, it's rage-bait on steroids. Take it with a grain of salt, and go enjoy your life. You only get one chance on this spinning rock.

The iPhone came out 18 years ago today. That number really feels like it’s fake

The minute I shave off my beard, I start getting called “honey” by cashiers. The new young me.

Listening to my coworkers talking about investing makes me really wish they taught personal finance in high school.

I'm not surprised at all now that there are people that will cash out their entire 401k in a recession.

It’s always a weird identity crisis when people ask where I’m from/what ethnicity I am. My parent’s always drilled it into us that we’re Turkish. But I feel way more Slav. Never lived in Turkey a day in my life lol (as a permanent residence, that is)

Before that in Bulgaria, we had a Lada. Those soviet cars were something else. 🥹

Thinking about my dad’s first car when we moved to the US. 1986 Nissan Pulsar. It felt so futuristic and still does.

I know humans gravitate towards confirmation bias, but wow some people just let it eat away their brain.

I’ve found a great way to stop spending ungodly amounts of money on consumerism is to add that thing you want to your cart and keep it there for at least a month.

Most of the time, I’ll come back to that thing and think what an idiotic purchase that would have been.

I wish Apple made their 5K displays in this timeless design. 20 years later and it still slaps.

When you’ve been around tech long enough, you see that these honeymoon periods (ie Bluesky feels like old Twitter) eventually give way to capitalistic hellscape. (Algorithms and ads)

Server capacity and engineering is not cheap at the scale of millions of people.

I know everyone says Bluesky has early Twitter vibes, but I bet very few of you remember that early Twitter didn’t even have an app for a while. You had to send a text to Twitter to tweet.

lol the amount of space just my photos/videos take up on iCloud is insane. To think that iPhone launched in 2007 with 4GB of storage and non-existent iCloud
