Behold, a yamper! I decided to enter a secret santa art trade, so I finally attempted to make somewhat of a ref sheet. I love Koromaru from P3 so I tried putting a bit of him into a yamper. I think I like the regular yamper colors best, but I tried out some red too

Behold! The Yamper! I didn't give him a name yet lol. I changed his fur patterns to look more like koromaru, so he doesn't have any yellow on his face and has little brown eyebrows, but aside from that his design isn't too different. I gave him a floppy tip on his left ear for fun too. Alt colors for my yamper guy. Fun fact this is how I drew him originally but I didn't really like it and wanted to see how regular colors would look on him lol.

Sorry, we all outta pizza. The pizza farmers. They uh, unionized, and aren’t going to grow any more pizza u til we pay them? We weren’t paying them before? Of course not, that would cost money. But now they won’t make any more pizza until we pay them. Which is a pretty tough impasse. Please stop looking behind me, that’s what’s really going on. Look into my eyes. Do you think I would lie to you? No. Stop. Stop looking at the box behind me I don’t know what that is or how that got here.

A yamper staring at you. His right eye is squinting at you incredulously, while his left eye is wide open to take in your full image through his monocle. I accidentally erased the right eye at one point but decided I like the little squint and left it lol. The yellow dawg is wearing a green top hat or something to maximize his fanciness. He’s also got a curly mustache, elevating his aura even further. I wanted to draw him like this since I think the similar picture that Toby Fox has with his mustache dog is fun. Also, this is another Ibis Paint finger drawing. I think I’m afraid to open Krita on my surface again after burning out a bit with art fight lol. I find it really hard to make good lines with my phone, but it’s fun making doodles like this where I’m not too worried about how it comes out. Maybe I’ll open Krita on my Surface again soon… the last file I have open on there is a first time animation WIP tho so that would be scary to come back to lol

Four panel comic for a friend’s birthday. His tanuko OC, Jiro, is sleeping soundly in his bed. He’s probably a “mimimi” type of sleeper. The second panel, debris flies out from the wall and wakes Jiro up. His sleeping cap flies off his head and he screams awake. The third panel is a close up to a yamper (me), asking “birthday… today??”. Dust and static is still in the air. The fourth panel shows the whole room, revealing 6 other holes in Jiro’s drywall, from my other birthday visits. Chunks of drywall are all over the place. Jiro is sitting up in bed. Eyes closed and sweating a little while looking at his wall. He deeply appreciates the gestures I think.

Little doodle to get back into things. I know someone with a vaporeon pfp who likes to tell people to stay hydrated, so this came to mind lol.

Also first time trying Ibis Paint, I actually like it! Having a drawing app on my phone makes it easy to work on things in short bursts

Vaporeon tells you to stay hydrated! They then do a little dance, summoning hydration to fall from the sky. The local flora (leafeon) appreciate this development. Their eyes are all closed because I didn’t feel like drawing eyes. I think it’s a little greedy for all these guys to have 2 of them. They should have considered whether having depth perception was worth making their faces harder to draw You may also notice the face fin things on vaporeon are the wrong color. That’s from an artistic choice to forget what they’re supposed to look like and not realize until right now. Whoops!

I had to put my dog Logan to sleep yesterday. I think I gave him a really good weekend, but it’s super depressing not having him around any more, and I’m constantly looking for him by reflex. He was really good and I miss him a ton :(

This is late, but I actually got a revenge on this attack! I kinda freaked her out posting it within the last few hours of art fight since she revenges everyone, so I’ll be more mindful of that next time haha.

Now that I’ve had some time to rest, my first art fight was fun! Before this I’m not sure if I’ve even made 2 ‘finished’ drawings in a month, so doing 5 attacks was pretty huge for me. I tried doing something new for pretty much all of them, so I got a lot of good practice

Surprise I did one more attack! This is Poi for @digitalpoisun.bsky.social! I didn’t get to polish this guy as much as I wanted since I only finished my last sketch 10 minutes before art fight ended, but I love their design, had fun giving them pizza, and I’m happy I was able to kinda get to them :)

The cavalry has arrived! This attack's for a PMD OC named Fate. It was revealed to me that Riolu and Minecraft chickens are about the same height, and I couldn't stop myself after that point...

A Riolu OC named Fate riding a chicken from Minecraft. I tried out some water color brushes for the background this time, even though I have never used them before and don't know how to use them. Apparently they're pretty intense and made my tablet want to explode trying to process my lines. And then I realized I got the perspective all wrong, so I completely redid the background. And it's still kinda wrong but I ran out of time lol. I think the water colors look nice tho, I'll try to learn how to use them better. Jack Black broke into my home and made me do this.

The racc attacked me back! I didn’t have any characters uploaded when he was drawing this, so he took matters into his own hands and gave my pfp a knife lol. This was a big surprise when he first showed it to me, and I’m happy I can finally share now that it’s uploaded

I dont have the words to describe music, but when Hopes and Dreams started mixing in the heart motifs(?) from the neutral ending it hit me so hard that I cried lol. I did the neutral ending a bunch of times before figuring out the rest of Pacifist, so seeing progress on a happy resolution felt crazy
UNDERTALE's fun and a place of comfort. I wanted to see every corner of the game, but accidentally ran pacifist 3 times in a row before i could bring myself to do anything else. for my pixel art I drew a hasty self portrait, with my hands raised for peak cinema. UNDERTALE counts as cinema i think. I'm smiling. My shirt's smiling. You're smiling.

Drawing of Fae (glameow) pulling a rock over, and finding 2 friendly grubs (Meowstics) underneath. One of my first times painting a background, and I'm happy with how it came out! I found a few texture brushes on Krita that actually made it really easy to make the background objects look much better compared to when I've been trying to scribble all the details in with a regular brush. Maybe a little too good though, I'll probably play around going between using these and my authentic sloppy scribbles lol. I tried sticking close to the colors that Fae uses in her references, and I actually really liked how they came out! I think the blue glameow and black/white meowstics were surprisingly fun.

This was a relatively quick doodle i made in paint3D, but I think it's fun to share

Ah, sweet 2000 character limit. Now I can yap. Hello! Here's a picture of Ashe Bradley from beloved game Witch's Heart, in an AU of beloved series Pokemon Mystery Dungeon where he's a Bayleef. He's reading a book, and I tried putting him inside the mansion from the game. Hopefully that's accurate. The book originally said "Rats, Rats, squeak squeak squeak", but I replaced it with lore accurate scribbles instead since I didn't want to go too far off script. I thought it would be fun to try matching the art style of witch's heart since I've never done pixel art before, and drew this on a 320x240 canvas I think. This was quite a learning experience for me, and it took me a while to even figure out how to use actual pixel art brushes / erasers rather than my regular brush but small, lol. It also took me a while to figure out how to export it in a way that wouldn't blur all my precious pixels. I also tried getting a little funny with the lineart. His original reference used blue and green for some of his outlines, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'll be real I had no idea what I was doing with it, I just kinda threw colors around somewhat randomly and felt ok with it. I tried out a little bit of shading too! Not too much though since shading scares me. Thanks for reading my descriptive alt text, now I only have 20 more attacks I'd like to make by the end of the month! Fire burns deep within me, I'll refine myself into fuel for team fossils and we'll shatter team crystals indubitably!!!

I’ve been trying to go to the sketching club by me when I can, and this week’s theme was Tom and Jerry. I thought drawing them in a duel was fun, especially since I get to write “DRAW!” in big letters haha.

Lots of mistakes I should’ve thought through here, but I’m actually feeling good about it!
Tom and Jerry in a western standoff. I tried putting the perspective right up behind Jerry so they could both get a good amount of detail, despite their size differences. They’re both about to draw their revolvers, although I kinda changed my mind on how the holster should be worn halfway through so it’s probably very uncomfortable to wear. Tom’s wearing a cowboy hat, and Jerry probably would have one too if his head wasn’t cropped out. Anyways, in big important text it says “DRAW!”. This is a reference to how you should DRAW right now. Pick up a pencil, get your tablet out, challenge a random pedestrian that you don’t like, doesn’t matter but you must DRAW!

I didn't really like how it was looking with my lined sketch, so I just erased them all and went lineless lol. We're in the middle of a heat wave by me, so here's how I feel walking outside for a minute. Everything's ok by me though, still have power and AC inside.

I finished the new Deltarune chapters, and I loved them so my brain is buzzing with the fun gang. I want to eventually draw the band scene to put this next to, but I thought this moment from chapter 2 was a cool moment for both Kris and Susie.
Scene from Deltarune Chapter 2, so minor spoilers for that. Kris is playing the piano in the hospital, and Susie's enjoying hanging out with her new friend and chuckling at what sounds like Kris mashing a bunch of keys at the same time. Kris is looking down, very annoyed that they can't play the piano right now, and looking forward to shoving their soul into the couch. Susie still thinks they're just playing a joke and is laughing harder.

I've been spending a little longer on my daily comics now. I leave most of them kinda unfinished, but it's been nice making time to just doodle down whatever's occupying my head. Nothing I'm exactly proud of, but I thought I'd share some. Put a few first attempts at drawing myself in these :)
Egg Chalice! I went to a Ramen restaurant recently that gave us the eggs in these funny little chalices, separate from the soups This one's kinda unfinished, but I don't feel like pressuring myself to complete a full illustration every day. Here's Finn (mudkip) swinging along some buildings with his vines that he mysteriously has. Red (charmander) is watching from a roof for some reason. I thought it would be cool to make him like spider man here idk lol. Characters made by ‪@nathanielb258.bsky.social‬ (do ats work here?) in his PMD: Souls comic! It's cool I've enjoyed reading it so far :) I've been kinda tired and groggy these past few days so that was on my mind for comic time. I'm good though I think I made myself look a bit more like a zombie than i meant to I have a new intern who's like 6 and a half feet tall and eats a pound of ground beef every morning lol.

I’ve never really tried the meetup app before, but a week ago I tried going to an art hangout that a group by me organized and it was actually a lot of fun! I feel kinda eh on what I drew, but I was surprised how nice it was to draw with other people. Gonna try it again this week, I’d recommend :)
Pencil sketch of a dark tunnel with turbo granny looking out. I tried to make it look like the road curves into the tunnel, with the hillside on one end and a retaining wall on the other. It’s fallen into disrepair with lots of cracks and things growing around it, since no one wants to maintain the scary tunnel anymore
