The world would be a better place with less community input
We are ruled by the group of people who think its an inalienable right for people to drive and park a super duty downtown from the exurbs for $0

We need to be the liberals cons think we are

I remain surprised how many people online (even relatively ‘normie’ liberals) think defunding local police is a popular idea. That is a super unpopular idea and trying to tie that to ending ICE is a sure fire way to make sure ICE is here to stay

Vibes. Author just says ‘PE bad ackshually’ and continues on like that proved the point

*Loud sigh*

Me lately

Im excited about the proposed changes to SEQRA. Seems like the proposed legislation would make infill free from review but new greenfield developments would still get review which is exactly how environmental reviews *should* be.

Genuinely shocking to look at how Hochul was perceived at the end of 2024 with where shes at now. Crazy run in 2025
January 13, 2026 at 3:51 PM
This guy is allergic to good policy
January 12, 2026 at 10:21 PM
These guys will lie brazenly and constantly for 4 years and then as soon as a Dem is back in power every media type will be tripping over each other racing to fact check the slightest misstatement

Is the pressuring public in the room with us right now Donald?
January 12, 2026 at 3:05 AM
Totally agree. Too many town governments think they are the untouchable lords of their little fiefdom. State governments need to flex their muscles and remind these rogue local governments who reports to who

Thanks for the share - totally agree with your conclusions. I cant tell if Marohn genuinely believes local control is good or if he just *wants* to believe its good and is working back from his desired conclusion. It seems self evident to me that local control has been horrible for building housing

This is Chuck revealing who I always suspected he was- he’s basically a NIMBY who always wants hyper local control for some reason. He is not serious about solving the housing crisis
January 9, 2026 at 4:22 AM
I want to like the guy but he often comes across as a NIMBY. The insistence on local control, the resistance to states enacting pro-housing regulation. He seems to have a very narrow window of how housing can be built which is much closer to NIMBY than to someone trying to solve the housing crisis

Republicans love making the government suck so they can perpetually complain about it sucks and then campaign again on how much it sucks. Rinse repeat forever. Its been going on for decades
January 5, 2026 at 11:50 PM
Why do people keep pushing this. Do these people know that you can just say ‘no’ to the union? I think politicians are clinging to it because they know it’s one of the few wedge issues they can actually use against Hochul

She seems like one of our best state legislators. She also proposed that land value tax pilot (that hasnt gone far but at least its trying to advance the ball). I wish we had a lot more lawmakers like her in this state.

Where is that exactly? Looks cool
December 30, 2025 at 1:18 AM
I thought the Dr Mike guy put it well- why is everyone skeptical of big pharma but no ones skeptical of big health supplement and all these influencers obviously peddling their snake oil potions? Hopefully we get back to trusting actual science again one day

Nobody who has ever worked in a unionized environment talks like this. This is how reddit revolutionaries talk
