I work in emergency management, and Twitter is an incredibly valuable tool to notify the public of evacuation orders and alerts as most people don't listen to the radio anymore or watch TV. I don't know what's going to happen if Twitter goes under.

Looking the same for BC. High drought codes and no rain predicted for July and August. Fire danger rating is high to extreme across the province right now.

That's really sad. I read the Wiki about the memorial trail and what gave me chills was the fact that they marked the spot where each firefighter fell with a cross.
