WRDA is a comprehensive legislative package that provides for the conservation and development of water and related resources. While WRDA authorizes projects, funding comes through the annual Energy and Water Development appropriations process or supplemental appropriations.

This victory for Alaska includes:
-Reauthorization of funding for the Denali Commission through 2029.
-A new Denali Commission housing fund.
-A new river-erosion program.
-Provisions to significantly reduce costs for the Barrow Seawall Project.
