Portland somehow made it through the night. Our bookstores, food carts, retirees in Birkenstocks and pups are all fine. I’m launching a Sunday Funday counter offensive—by fighting against bad coffee, raiding a local market, suffering through an outdoor concert and laying siege to an indie bookstore.

Portland somehow made it through the night. Our bookstores, food carts, retirees in Birkenstocks and pups are all fine. Brilliant. Nothing the other dude and his team can respond with that doesn’t shine a light on how small, inane & tired the schtick is. The absurdity is it’s power and, while imitation may be flattery elsewhere, here it’s CA Gov looming large above a dumpy, not smart, old guy whose time has passed 🤌

CONTEXT MATTERS (as of June 11):
1. To date protests in LA have been confined to five areas (a few blocks each) of DTLA
2. The curfew is in place for 1 square mile in DTLA
3. The city of LA is 503 square miles
4. Los Angeles county is 4085 square miles
LA is not “under siege”.
