My first time trying to mend a sock ended up being my first time trying the “Kitchener stitch” ;; I think #mending is deeply beautiful (even if my sock mend is so fugly she’s become cute). I am so happy to add this to my mending toolkit as a skill to practice and use. 🧶

I finished the bodice! I think the pattern alteration wants to like lengthen but bring back the shoulder and armhole. When I tried it on - I kind of wish the shoulder was more narrow - and have the sleeves start higher up. Will have to play around next time.

#vintagecrochet help! ☎️☎️☎️ if anyone could offer any insight on how to interpret these 1930s instructions I would be so grateful. “When you reach the neck, add stitches to each shoulder and leave off stitches for the back of neck” I’m working on the back piece! 🧶 #crochet

I have been working on a 60s (?) #crochet pattern and struggled to decipher the sleeve construction but how cool is the armpit gusset?? Decreasing shells !!!!!! 🧶🧶🧶 I had to restart the sleeve like 4 times..so I am feeling hopeful! #vintagecrochet

I think there is something beautiful and circular about slow making (and all it encompasses) for example #visiblemending and #darning a fuzzy ol wool sweater from the Paris flea gets a second life in my home in California.

Well I guess I’ll get a chance to really practice the cast on as I remake this. I was supposed to have a whole other pie slice. Oof. 🧶😔
