Having the DLC areas so early in the game is weird, because they don't have anything to offer (aside from extra story) if you've already hit end game. So they're better for new play throughs.
With how the alchemy works, the new materials aren't really that exciting. Dunkelheit still exists.

There's co-op farming; like you can always farm bosses in the overworld or domains with others - which often takes a bit longer than solo.
Or the occasional coop event. The new mode, miliastra wonderland, is a bit more coop since that's a bunch of minigames
