im only a 1-2 time monthly gay bar attendee, but even when ppl finally get off their phones to converse, lately i notice a lot of like…social media style covert bullying where they think the only way to talk w someone new is to make fun of them or have a bubble of irony around them. its perplexing

and then whenever ppl in my generation have protested like for palestine or in the student encampments they got beaten and broken and dragged into jail cells so thanks for sticking up for us boomers

literally every protest that i havent been able to make it to has been middle of the day on a weekday (or every now and then during one of my unfortunate nighttime shifts) so i havent been able to make it to a single one. like. lmao

idk i cant help but worry when the replies under that are all cynicism and chuckles when we now know that families could freeze to death because of these data centers. is anyone out there actually mentally and emotionally engaged with these new threats or will we die making grok jokes
