Hitler accused the Polish to have fired the first shots and started WW II like that. All I am saying is that “Orange Dickhead” is lying because his minions buy it, all of it, everything he says. If there are too many followers like that, it doesn’t matter if it’s a lie or the truth.

Totally agree, but being a member of congress is not just voting on bills, it should be more: coming up with arguments, lobbying, reaching out, maybe even deal making. The democrats are so quiet (aside the firebrand people) that you hardly notice that they are still there…not looking good
May 22, 2025 at 11:16 PM
That’s called policy making, politics in general. If the senators can’t do this, just hand the country over to the toddlers on the majority side of the isle. The elections did that, I understand, but there needs to be a stronger opposition.
May 22, 2025 at 10:28 PM
We saw this on the news, Adam. The question is what the democrats are going to do about it. Right now, with all do respect, it looks like the democrats are doing nothing.
May 22, 2025 at 10:24 PM
I cannot grasp that everyone seems to be ok with it. At one point, these generous donors used to be considered terrorists. Trump gets the plane after he leaves office, how is this not a bribe for personal enrichment? What else is acceptable these days? No more red lines?
May 21, 2025 at 9:23 PM
By now it should be clear to every politician that last election was a protest vote (aside die-hard MAGA’s). Trump scooped it up. It’s reality now. Every day he is delivering reasons, as to why people should regret their vote. And they do. What should they vote for? The democrats need a plan.
May 6, 2025 at 12:54 PM
Being disliked by Trump is certainly a compliment. However, Sir, it’s not enough. I wonder when, where and how to democrats form some sort of opposition, noticeable and visible. Give us something to vote for (and someone, too) while you are at it. With all due respect, where are the democrats?

Loyal morons are apparently harder to find as you might think😂😂😂

Trade surpluses or deficits are not good or bad, rather an indicator of the wealth of a country. Trade deficits mean you are importing more than you are exporting, in general meaning you are buying more than your economy produces. That’s not bad…and nobody gets “ripped off” because of that
May 2, 2025 at 1:31 PM
The well known steps to dictatorship: control the press, diminish the judiciary branch, suppress free speech and then free thinking. What’s next? Take control of the military… oh wait… Hegseth…

I don’t mean to come across as a “know it all” but I grew up in Germany and I am living in the US now. So I know the differences in the systems because I lived in both. Each one has its merits but are fundamentally different.
May 2, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Services are a different kind of animal. The salary structures in the US are also different than other countries (high cost of living, low tax, high take home pay, but expensive college education, etc.). The VAT impact there is rather low and the competitiveness is based on service quality.

… but the health insurance companies are not for profit, regulated by the governments and sometimes have profit share mandate amongst each other. That system is as imperfect as any.
May 2, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Not correct, most countries have a public health care system that demands the employer and employee to contribute 50/50. So everyone employed has to pay an amount into healthcare that is to be matched by the employer. Generally it’s mandated, so you could call it a tax….
May 2, 2025 at 1:15 PM
It appears that way. However, there could be solutions to this that don’t imply US import tariffs. The VAT countries could recognize less VAT on imports (which includes American goods). The current tax
Rate is between 19 and 21%. There are already discounted products like 7% on books.
May 2, 2025 at 1:12 PM
They are when you are exporting goods into a VAT country. The local manufacturers can claim it back for the VAT they paid for raw materials they purchased. (A small amount for value added stays with the manufacturer) A US company can not, so the VAT is hurting the non-VAT based producers.
May 1, 2025 at 10:46 PM
But… Tariffs and the way the Trump administration implements those are the wrong economical and political tool to achieve fairer global trade, as they hit consumers in the receiving country and act as a tax. That’s what you get when you let the toddlers play with the global economy
May 1, 2025 at 9:36 PM
No, this is a list of reasons that make Trump say that the US was ripped off for years. Economically they are valid arguments that US goods have been “tariffed” by other means, like the VAT concept in Europe. These “subsidies” should be on a negotiating list with different trade partners.
May 1, 2025 at 9:34 PM
If you all scratch your heads about this… I think I found an explanation: economic principles have been studied and researched for years and are well understood. JUST NOT by the toddlers in the White House, they are learning these principles inflight (not from smart people, just from consequences)

The clip is titled “President gives remarks at the dinner”. His presidential actions reflect on our society. People might see this as a permission structure to become more hostile and disrespectful to their community. What an example to set…
April 10, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Of course, nobody else but his inner circle knew.
April 9, 2025 at 8:47 PM
Is there still something left that would be reasonable cause for impeachment? The supreme court said that the president is immune for all official acts
April 9, 2025 at 8:45 PM
Haha, didn’t the surpreme court give him full immunity for presidential action? Nobody goes to jail for this gigantic market scam.
