Just like with traditional record labels, digital releasing has removed the need for publishers as part of any development process.
They can still provide value, however. Whether that be with advertising, connection to talent or simply with finances.

The way it often works out if no automated tests are set up: tests are just omitted.
And 'not testing' is less work than setting up automated tests...

I had great success teaching bew players back in the Dominaria United days by building a limited deck from nothing but commons, showcasing the archetypes of the set in question.
Availability obviously mattered, but also that commons generally do not lead to overly swingy or fast games.

on the question of whether i thought UB was a good or bad idea i went with bad, but there wasn't a text box to actually explain the "why".
