You can’t really see the tub of popcorn in the photo, but this is me in my happy place. Six+ hours of Antonioni/Vitti yesterday.

Finally! Follow labels in Qobuz. What’s great feature. Can’t say for sure but I think that’s unique for streaming services

Wendell Berry, eat your heart out. Love this!

I can only muse over what a classic style street photo this would have been had I merely composed and focused properly! Just owning mistakes here (and somehow more comfortable posting them).

I’m not a Wes Anderson super fan but his films are great to see on the big screen

Figured out the best way to scan #film negatives with my #Leica setup (so only need the one digital camera).

I’m using the Macro Elmar 90mm, but instead of the Macro Adapter, I’m using the Elpro 52. Very close to a true macro lens!

Also, Valoi Easy 35, which helps make everything consistent.

It's not NYC without a rush hour subway meltdown.

Yet, all these people were quite kind to one another getting out (this station uses elevators to exit). And a woman who saw me hanging out at the turnstiles (figuring out how to get home) offered to take care of my subway fare.

This view of Manhattan, from Williamsburg, always gives me a sense of what the skyline might have looked like a century ago.

The opening for the Bruce Davidson/Sara Messinger exhibit at #Leica NYC was huge and tons of fun. Really great photo community here.

Saw Sinners at the Village East Angelica tonight in 70mm. Thoroughly fun movie.

The conversation with Matt Black in his work American Geography and American Artifacts could easily have gone on longer than the two hours. He's such an authentic and impassioned #photographer keeping the documentary tradition alive.

Thanks to picturehouse + thesmalldarkroom!

We typically only see dead squirrels that were hit by a car, but this one may very well have been bird flu, based on an article in the NYTimes.

Took the family to see The Roots at the Blue Note last night for the 30th anniversary of their first release. Such great energy and I loved every second of the music- amazing to get to get to see them in such a small venue.

I finally tried the Lab-box to ease a critical tension (getting film on reels without error) in my #film #photography development cycle and it's great!

About the only thing I like about winter is that the character of the trees is on full display. I’ve been exploring trees in a way that is perhaps the opposite of Kenna. Here’s one from a recent walk through Central Park.

Went to see if he had anything new and realized a favorite #poet and essayist, Adam Zagajewski, died a few years ago. Very sad

Here’s a sample: “Don’t Allow the Lucid Movement to Dissolve”

I don’t post photos much because of my conviction that phones are not the right place to absorb images and I suspect that Ai bots scrape these sites. But…I like to play, too :)

Also testing the @flashes.blue app.
