In many situations I also prefer subs, but in others the Polish dubbing is a good compromise, I think. Sometimes I feel like missing on little visual cues when reading subtitles. But anyway, my point was: It‘s less bizarre than in might initially appear… 😉

Once you get used to it, it can be really great. At some point you don’t notice the VO anymore (that‘s why it has to be monotonous), while still being able to enjoy the dialogue in original language. It‘s like subtitles you don‘t have to read!
