Let’s wait and see. I think there is a lot more in this title race 👀

Unfortunately Salah is just inevitable

Just wait until you see the City score

We beat Lens 6-0 last year

Who would’ve thought you create more chances when you have the best creative midfielder in the world fit?

Kind of love Jorginho at the base of midfield. Feels like that was a great recipe against low blocks last season

No Arsenal best XI doesn’t have Rice

Yeah because the Steelers looked soooo threatening before the snow really started coming down

Well there goes my hope for a fit Tomi in the near term 🙃 Thanks for sharing Billy

A fit Tomiyasu could do wonders in lightening the burden for the both of them

Agreed, I feel much better about the squad with Sterling over Nelson and hope Saturday we start to see a better version of Raheem. Isak in the summer when Newcastle miss out on UCL is the absolute dream. Checks both boxes for striker and wide forward. Fascinated to see who else we’re targeting.

Good point. I think the biggest factor could be an increasingly uncertain financial landscape within football. I don’t think Arteta or Edu would’ve thought Sterling was the solution for a depth winger before the window started. I think and hope, they ideally wanted someone more long term

Feels like a Timber LB with Partey RB to me. Calafiori’s long term health already kind of worries me which isn’t a good feeling.

Which goes back to my original point. To both future proof the squad while being confident you can turn a profit on those type of signings, it’s something I feel we should go back to doing. You’re right that most will be misses but when you get a massive hit it has exponential benefits
November 22, 2024 at 2:24 PM
I mean we’ll never know but I think it’d be crazy not to expect the club to turn a very good profit on him if he was fully bought in like the rest of the group

Besides Guendouzi, the other three players you mentioned were at least £27 mil investments. Those are hardly the kinds of signings I am talking about. Guendouzi is also an interesting one because if he didn’t have attitude problems you’re looking at an £8 mil signing that you can sell for 5x that.
