Bug Gigi (going off wobuffet tail headcanon)

She's blind like this. The big orange eye taking up most of her belly is just decoration, a threat for predators. She senses the world through minute vibrations and changes in air pressure. Footsteps approach, sharp clicks of heels. Then a sliding, rustling as a body much larger than hers settles on the floor, peeking into her hiding place under the couch. She knows it's Liz in the way she carefully strokes her carapace. The rhythmic way her breaths leave her that must be soothing words, even though they both know Gigi can't understand her now. She relaxes, spreading her spindly legs out and settling more comfortably on the floor. She could cry when Liz doesn't even flinch. She knows she's unnerving like this, just a weird bug. But Liz keeps on murmuring, rubbing soothing circles on the smooth section between her leg joints. She finds herself dropping off to sleep. It takes days to regenerate. And it sucks. So much. But she spends much of it in Liz's arms feeling her quiet lullabies, sitting on Ceci's keyboard tapping legs to the beat, or riding around on Rara's shoulder as she talks on and on and Gigi doesn't know about what but she's happy to listen. At her weakest like this is when she feels the most loved.

She's many things broken and cobbled together. Every part of her held together with glue and glee, spit and spite. Her tail is chitinous like a scorpion's, but where a stinger goes is a three fingered hand. There are fans set in her arms, her feet are clawed but her fingernails are dull. She's got flesh in some places and metal in others. Rubber scales dust her spine. Her eyes pink like a lab rat's. She has fangs but no lust for blood, just a desire to chase and play. Her mind is often pulled in different directions like a length of taffy. She doesn't know what her brain is made of. Ants, probably.

"Oh, you poor thing..." The living gem eyes the unmoving automaton tangled in the roots of a great tree. "How long have you been here?" She sweeps her gaze around the ruined castle. Shreds of faded green tapestries flutter next to the great tree's canopy. Plant-life sprouts from piles of debris. There is a story here. For some, it's one that ended long ago. For another, it's one that is just beginning. Bijou rises on tiptoes to reach the automaton. "From now on, you will live for yourself." She whispers into mint and white hair. She presses crystalline lips to porcelain skin. There is a soft glow as something bright and oh so fragile passes to the automaton. A shard of herself. Cecilia stirs, eyelashes fluttering. "Good morning." Bijou smiles.
