True. But there were some magazines and newspapers with very good reporters. Also the local media, mostly newspapers were better then. Same national news but sometimes with a local twist and admittedly at times a political spin as well. But nowhere near the craziness we see today.

A lot of mistrust of law enforcement and the military. There was fear as well but it doesn’t seem as intense as it is now. Maybe it was because I was younger and I’m a white male. I’m sure that a woman and/or person of color, especially in the South might feel differently.

It was bad then but worse now. It might have been as corrupt but we didn’t know until later. Back then we had a functioning press, a better Congress and a SCOTUS that offered some protection. It was still bad then Vietnam, leaders being murdered and cities on fire. Counter culture was different

That’s because MBS is intelligent and that’s what makes him so friggin dangerous. Trump is dangerous but it’s because of his stupidity. But then again so are most of the democrats. The intelligent ones are the majority of the US citizens who are not politicians. That gives me hope.

Where else but in the USA can a person be paid a lot of money to not only ask this question but most likely think that it’s an intelligent point to make. You can also add to this the people who hired her, her producers and continue to keep her on the air.

I don’t think it will be too difficult to figure out. There will also be independent sources which will provide employment data that will be close to being accurate.
