Was really fun watching the Freiburg Marathon today. My running days are long over, the last Marathon I ran was 25 years ago 😊🏃‍♂️

Even more fun is a trip to the „Zinnfiguren Klause“ in town, apparently the tiniest museum in Germany with a diorama of the siege

My hometown Freiburg im Breisgau was sacked by the French in 1713 and returned 1714 to Habsburg, just went for a hike in the forest nearby to the „French entrenchment“ from the siege

It’s now 6 month that I am in Germany. After living & working 25 years in South East Asia it has been quite a change 🤪! The move from X to Bluesky was also a good decision. Content wise my posts will change: still on forestry, but more from my new point of view, sprinkled with some fond memories 🥰

Beside all the cool technology and science stuff, the agriculture and food section was very well done and informative. As a forester loved the diorama on agroforestry 🥰🌳🌾

Had a marvellous time at the „Deutsches Museum“ in Munich, Germany, the world's largest museum of science and technology, love their current slogan: „All is Science!“ especially in nowadays time 1/2
