I adore this gen. It’s my clear favorite generation in almost all respects

Take this lady for example. Just randomly stroll across her during the first big investigation. She eventually claims she injured her hand playing the bass Too Hard in a fusion genre she’s attempting to create between choral modes and death metal. Totally rad little microcharacterization.

Supported at the physical tier, I'm really hoping we end up with it on either the Switch or what comes after it and that the tier will apply to a physical copy for such a console. Probably no game you couldn't convince me to put money down for supporting ex-Japan Studio devs tho

Ended up downloading a handful, very curious to see how they shake out. I'll have to look around and see if people are talking about having enjoyed any of the ones I looked over for now too.

Oh, did that go live? I'm gonna be checking out Demonschool for sure, I'm curious to see if any others catch my eye

Will totally say, not remotely surprising that people did not latch right in as hard. Movements and camera motions in each cutscene are languorous and take their sweet time, tracked over what's mostly moody ambient compositions. Real Vibey Players Need Apply Only hours type stuff.

I’m open to it but I wasn’t even particularly interested in the series back in the day, and time hasn’t really further enticed me. I’ll look into it a little when the remasters drop. They’re for sure going to move negligible units but I can’t imagine they’re expecting much anyway.

I haven’t even gotten GamePass yet but I bet that’ll really kick me that one step further into this being the place I really want to play games on-TV, even though by all means that should probably be the PS5 I’ve owned for years.

The controller being So Great is a notable part, quick resume turning out to be a feature I have way more use for than I expected too. I think being forced into an all-digital library really gets me to let go of some of those neuroses too; I’ve impulse bought like five games just bc they were cheap.

Something to be said about getting older and learning to listen as games tell me how I’d most enjoy them; makes me especially excited for replaying Breath of the Wild and Odyssey someday, having bounced off both pretty well but in the time after having seen how I could maybe have enjoyed them.

I love the hermetic sandboxes that make up the first game’s levels for the most part, but accepting that your Just Not Going to Finish Each Level and letting the pacing follow a more natural structure of doing whatever you can and then moving onto the next level really lets the things you do shine.

I bought a Series S off a coworker for cheap and got it set up today. Basically just wanted a Rare/Double Fine/360-era Sonic machine and anything else is gravy. Played through to Bubblegloop Swamp in Banjo-Kazooie and I love it just as much as always.
