Did I hear that right? £91 million for Eze? Uff da, now that's overpaying by a large margin and a) I understand why palace was weasely and held out like they did, and b) I'm very glad we didn't bother trying to match that for a player who only seemed like a "maybe" fit.

I'm a firm believer that the best way to protect a lead is to try and increase the lead. The last 10 mins felt wrong after so much good work; gave them too much of the ball. Spence was a monster, liked Kudus and Palhinha. Richy too. We need depth and possession. Rough loss but I'm optimistic #COYS

I became #COYS a little before Son joined so it's going to feel very strange for me with him gone, but he's earned whatever exit he wants and I wish him luck. An icon who spent his time at #Tottenham with class, hard work, and worldies. I only wish he'd be coming to Portland instead of LA...

Mousa Dembélé is one of my all time favorites; I don't really follow other peoples' birthdays but I thought his birthday was the 16th, NBC soccer says today? Whichever - he deserves 2 bdays, so give him 2.

I'm just fanboyin' and know it's not gonna happen and might not be a good fit, but with Timbers' Jona out for the season opening up a DP slot and with Spurs' Son Heung-min reportedly open to a move to MLS it could be a great time to "put those hands together" with my two favorite teams #RCTID #COYS
