Updates Beetle Sohn Today I've turned off donations. Words cannot describe how broken Chase and I feel. Only time can heal now... thank you for rooting for him as much as we were. Some of my favorite photos. The first image was the day I came home from work and saw my roommates got a cat without asking me. Within the first week, Vega chose me over everyone else, and subsequently I chose him in return. Truly a special cat and a very very special 8 years with him. I wish we had more time but i'm glad we had time at all. I'll have you in my heart forever. Thank you.

The vet emailed a photo of my baby boy .... i will never meet a more perfect cat in my life .. he picked me and then i picked him ..... he seriously is everything to me i cannot believe this is happening so fast im so fucking sad

They emailed me what we spoke about over the phone. I just paid another $1,000 deposit so he can stay another 24 hours and I will see if I can afford the testing.
Vega Hello, To summarize the ultrasound findings: -The spleen is very enlarged (this could be reactive vs. cancer) -The liver is mildly enlarged (this could be due to an infectious vs. a concern for cancer) -There is effusion (free fluid) in the abdomen (this could indicate sepsis, inflammation, or cancer) -The gall bladder wall is very thick and there are 2 gall bladder stones. There is no obvious evidence of a ruptured gall bladder, but we can't rule it out. If the gall bladder did rupture, it could lead to sepsis/ infection Current charges as of right now are $3609 (minus the $2000 deposit that was left). This is within the original estimate of $3112 - $4046. Current charges + an additional 24 hours of hospitalization + sedated aspirates of the liver/spleen/ effusion + sending out those samples for cytology and culture = a new range of $6231 - $7000. The hospital policy is to keep 50% of the high end of the estimate on file as a deposit, therefore an additional $1500 deposit would be required at this time (for a total of $3500 on file). Please review the above information and let us know if you would like to proceed with the sedation diagnostics. If you have any questions at all, call the clinic and ask for Mollie or Dr. Goldkamp. Not a great update this time fellas... im really scared for my baby boy

< Updates Just got a call from the internal medicine doctor and I wish the news was better... His red blood cell count was quite low and his bone marrow isn't many more His calcium is also very high and that can be a result of a lot of things, so we need to wait for more tests His stomach was full surprisingly when he hasn't eaten, so that worries her as well. He is getting his ultrasound soon and they're also going to check his thyroid glands on his neck to rule out any issues there l asked where she was leaning and she said she's unfortunately leaning more towards cancer.... I hope it's something manageable or l hope we get more clarity so I know what the right call is to make. My worst fear is having his final days be full of suffering... But we aren't there yet. He somehow still was in pain this morning while on opioids but they're adding an additional medication to see if that helps. He also is staying an extra night, and that worries me from a financial standpoint. I don't want to raise the goal more, but I may need to depending on the estimate I will be receiving later today. Morning update
Hoping to get good news today
"Good morning! I called the ER a bit ago and was told he didn't really do anything overnight but he did drink a little water and he peed at around 5am. The peeing is good news only because he has a urinary blockage in 2019 and that made him very very sick. So I am glad that is not adding onto how Vega is feeling ;; _____;; Some of the GFM money was deposited today SO THANK YOU!! I can use what was received to pay to pick up Vegas today as long as that's what's recommended. He is getting an ultrasound by a specialist at 9:30 AM I believe but in the next hour or so the internal medicine doctor will be taking over Vega's care. Hopefully I will get some good information I was told he isn't cuddly still and wasn't very interested in the food still so I hope that changes soon :("

Before he was admitted to the ER today, they brought him back out so I could kiss his little head 🥲

I miss him so much and I pray he makes it through all of this and that money isn't the barrier than stops him from getting well 💔

Important update.
I have had to increase the goal from 5,000 to 6,500.

Please please share or drop a dollar or two if you can. It seems this may be treatable we just need to make it past these 24 hours at the ER.
12:051 •l 5G+ • < Updates Beetle Sohn Today : I have had to update the goal to 6,500 as I have been quoted over $4,000 for this 24 hour stay at the ER. This is the price BEFORE the specialist calls me in the morning with cost of the tests. I have paid the down deposit of 2,000 on a CareCredit card. Once the money deposits I will pay that off immediately. This gofundme money isn't depositing to my bank yet so l am kinda super upset and worried. I am being told by the ER vet that he is suspecting Inflammatory Bowel Disease which IS treatable I just hope it's not too late : Thank you everyone for following along. I'm really scared for Vega. Beetle Sohn Today Vega has been admitted to the ER and they just took him back a minute ago. Will update as soon as l have anything. Hoping a specialist can come see him. I'm really scared.

Good morning! When I first woke up, Vega didn't really react to me being awake which is unusual of him, but 15 minutes later he came up and was purring and gave us some rubs and flopped over for a little bit which was super nice to see/experience.. he doesn't seem to have eaten at all yet, so today when i get the nutrition boosters, im hoping he will show some interest there. Look at his shaved tummy from the ultrasound... feels like a peach
